Future Sales Director: Carol Jefferis

Hi There,
My name is Carol Jefferis, I live in Willis Texas with my wonderful husband of 54 years Bob. We are so very blessed to have 4 grown children, 5 Grandchildren and 5 Great- Grandchildren. I first began my Mary Kay business in 1997 and became a Sales Director in 1999. and earned 2 Mary Kay cars. I was also working full time for Montgomery Country-Ems while working toward my Directorship. I was able to leave my full time position in 1998 and concentrate on my Mary Kay business. I have to tell you I love this business. My favorite part is meeting new friends and making women feel great about themselves. My passion for this business is to tell women that they are God’s masterpiece and that he loves them and that he has a plan for each of our lives. In 2002 I became very ill and to tell the truth I really gave up on my Mary Kay dream. If I had it to do over I would not give up so easily but at the time I believe I just had tunnel vision and to be honest I just gave up. I missed my Mary Kay friends and family because in Mary Kay there is such a sisterhood and I missed that so much. One of my friends Bernice Hines was always there if I needed anything during this trying time. She just would drop by to see if she could do anything for me and my husband. We very seldom talked about Mary Kay but I still longed for my business. I had a well stocked inventory so I was still able to service my clients for awhile, but they would always come to my home for their products and many times they just went to my Mary Kay closet and got their own orders filled. My husband was so sweet to always have cookies baked and lemonade made for my clients to have a refreshments while they visited me.
In Oct of 2003 I was so much better so I asked my husband what he thought about me beginning my Mary Kay business again, He was in total agreement so I asked Bernice if she would make me one of her business partners. After much thought and preparation she agreed and I signed my Mary Kay agreement again. Since that time I have only worked my business very part time but at this time I am a Future Sales Director and I am looking forward to walking the stage in Atlanta Georgia at Leadership in January and taking my Director Oath.
My passion for this business has not changed, I believe God has a plan for my life and I believe my Mary Kay business is the vehicle in which I can be a blessing to women not only to share this business with other women but to share Christ with them also. I do have to tell you both my husband and I are retired from our fulltime positions so Mary Kay is a real blessing in our finances. When I first began my business my focus was on how much money I could make but it didn’t take me long to see the bigger picture. Matthew 5:6 Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added unto you. That is the cry of my heart. Father I am available, Please use me.
If I could share one other thing with you it would be to never give up on your dream. God never puts a dream in our heart that he does not have a plan to fulfill it. God Bless each of you.
Love and Prayers,
Carol

My name is Dawn Parker. I live in Leona Texas with my amazing husband of 16 years and our 3 incredible children. I first became a Mary Kay consultant in 1998. I worked my business for about two years with no avail. So I decided to take a break from it and in 2002 my husband and I moved to Leona to start an Air Conditioning business. It wasn’t until February of this year that I decided to give my Mary Kay business another try. What a great decision that was!
God has blessed me so much and not only has he blessed me He has blessed the women that I come in contact with every day. And I believe that is what this business is about…blessing other women. When I first started my business all I saw were dollar signs and of course that didn’t get me very far. Now I wake up and say “who do you want me to bless today” and He shows me. When we do that, believe me the money and recognition will come.
I have many goals, which is very important in your Mary Kay business. My first goal after attending Career Conference in March was to qualify for the Lights, Action, Fashion celebration at Seminar this year. I also set a goal to recruit 3 people every month and to hold at least 5 classes every month.
My goals for the future are to debut as a Sales Director before January 2012 and to walk across stage at Seminar 2012 to debut as a new Pink Cadillac unit!!
My Mary Kay business is everything I dreamed it would be and more and I want to thank Bernice & Carol who always believed in me and for calling me the past 10 years just see how I was doing. They apparently saw something I didn’t, they were right!
I was recently introduced to a very special lady that has been a Mary Kay consultant for 43 years. Many of you do not know who she is but her name is Erin Moomey and she was Mary Kay’s personal recruit! What a blessing it was to get to spend time with her in her house. She shared many pictures and stories of her and Mary Kay along with a box of mementoes that I will cherish. It was also exciting to find out that she lives less than ten minutes from my house. Thank you Erin!
I wanted to share this with you so you can see the kind of blessings that go along with being in this business. The money and recognition as a consultant are abundant, but the women whose lives you touch and who touch you are beyond words. Thank you Mary Kay!
Much Love,
Dawn Parker
